David Pryde first gained notoriety as a stand-up comedian that writes jokes and tells them after winning the Just For Laughs Comedy Night in Canada contest in1999. Since then he has performed across Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., as well as featuring in television specials such as CTV’s Comedy Now, all the while delivering stand-up WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY HIMSELF! He has worked as a writer for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he wrote material that was delivered by someone not himself. His theatrical debut in “Glengarry Glenn Ross” required him to deliver lines that were written by someone he had never even met. As a member of On The Spot David says things that no one has written down before and probably never will, which he realizes is ultimately what God intended. This bio marks his final written work, with this being his last sentence. Complete sentence, anyway. For more info on David Pryde go to www.davidpryde.com.
